Zero One

Happy Holidays, good people!

This past week, I was treated to a screening of a film I worked on not too long ago called Zero One.  I had seen some rough footage, but still couldn’t tell what the finished film was going to look like. After seeing a finished version – I have to say, everyone involved did an amazing job!  The film far exceeded my expectations and I hope this smart piece of Indie cinema gets the exposure it deserves.  Cheers to writer/director Kareem Gray for all of his efforts.  Here’s the trailer for the film…

In a related note, the filmmaker is currently raising funds to help cover the costs of submitting the film to festivals around the country.  This can be a very expensive process, especially once you factor in the travel and marketing expenses that a filmmaker incurs just to support something like this.  If you’d like to support independent film, a great filmmaker and a wonderful film – check out Zero One’s IndieGoGo Page.

Lane Furniture spot

I had a great time shooting this recent Lane Furniture spot with my Dallywood cohort, Bryan Massey.  Enjoy!

Dallywood (the pilot) in Production

Hey all!

I’m very happy to announce that we are officially in Production on a TV pilot based on the Dallywood web series. We started shooting on Friday the 12th and we should be wrapped by this coming Friday (the 19th).  The Dallywood team of Drew Rist (director), Bryan Massey (lead actor), Kirk Edwards (sound guru) and myself are very excited to be upping the ante with this pilot.  We’ve received some early press on the pilot that I’d like to share:

We’ve also shot a couple of Promo Teasers for the pilot:

Award time!!

I’m very excited to announce that two commercials I’ve recently worked on have won some pretty cool awards!

First off, a promotional commercial I worked on for the TV show Wedlock or Deadlock won a Lone Star Emmy award! Here’s a link to the AWARDS PAGE.

And second, a Geico commercial I did for the National Geographic Channel won two PromaxBDA awards in Los Angeles this past July.  We won a Gold for “Best Consumer Tie-in”, and most importantly we won a Silver for “Funniest Promo”.

I’m very honored to have been honored!

Haggar Upgrade Ads

I recently shot a series of Haggar clothing ads set to run during major league baseball games.

JCPenney spoof commercial

I recently worked on this JCPenney spot which spoofs the famous Capital One commercials.
The commercial also features the very talented Stephanie Young & Melissa Odom.

Some press from my hometown of Topeka, KS.

I’d like to thank Jeff Davis and Christina Hansen for having interest in my work, and more specifically my “Topeka Project” script. Here’s the article that ran in the Topeka Capital Journal: READ HERE

Dallywood featured in American Way Magazine!

A big thanks to Adam Pitluk and the good people at American Way Magazine for giving a shoutout to Bryan Massey and myself, along with the Dallywood web series. American Way Magazine is the wonderful magazine you find in the seat back of all American Airlines flights. You guys are so awesome! READ HERE

New Coors Light commercial

Sorry about the lag in updates lately.  The site has undergone some design changes, but I think I’m finally on the right track now.

I’ve got lots of good stuff in the works, so please stay tuned.

Check out a new commercial I recently shot for Coors Light beer.  Enjoy!
